Carers Week 2012

Carer’s week
There are currently over six million carers throughout the UK. That is 1 in every 10 people. Over the next 30 years it is expected that the numbers of Carers will increase to 3. 4 million.
Many people have either been a carer or know of a family member, friend or a neighbour who has been carer at some stage in their life. Caring affects us all.
For carers week the staff at Crossroads Care West London were out and about providing, information, help and advice to people who may be carers or know someone who is a carer. Here are some pictures of our staff at Glaxo Smith Kline where we held a stall for information.
Carer’s week has finally arrived!!
On Monday 18th June staff at Crossroads Care West London were at the Westside Young Centre in Ealing providing information to carers of young people and children. Our Club Co-ordinator and Children’s Manager were both there raising awareness of our organisation and the services that we provide.
Carer’s week!

Carers Week celebrates and recognises the contribution the UK’s six million unpaid carers make to those they care for, and to their communities. In 2012 we’re calling for sustainable funding for social care, better support for unpaid carers, better recognition by professionals, and by others who impact on carers day-to-day lives.
